Digital X-Rays
If you're uneasy about x-rays, the following information may put you at ease: X-ray machines focus carefully on one exact location. Protective coverings containing lead prevent other areas of your body from being affected. Exposure time is very short due to high speed film and precise timers. Equipment used in performing x-rays is regularly checked to ensure its safety of use. X-ray technicians are experts who receive special training in their field. The knowledge gained from x-rays can be invaluable to your health. We are always subjected to some amount of radiation that comes from the atmosphere and from Earth's radioactive substances. The amount of radiation you receive during x-rays is much less than the amount determined to be hazardous. Talk to a team member today if you still have concerns. Here at Clinton Family Dental, we utilize digital dental x-rays. The digital dental x-rays system is more sensitive than dental x-ray film systems, so your exposure to x-rays is cut by as much as 90 percent!
INTRA-ORAL DIGITAL CAMERAS
These high-tech cameras capture and display digital images from inside a patient’s mouth, intra-oral cameras are a valuable tool for patient education and case documentation. Shaped like a small wand, many dental intra-oral cameras are highly portable and easily connect to a computer wirelessly, via USB or via a docking station. Most commonly equipped with LEDs, these digital cameras can capture images without the need for external lighting. Patients do not always accept treatment they cannot understand, but an intra-oral camera allows them to see what you see. A problem such as a fractured tooth can be easier to spot and impossible to ignore when it is magnified on a computer monitor or TV screen. While designed for intra-oral imaging, some cameras also can capture extra-oral full face images for patient records.
We are dedicate to make your dental visits as comfortable and pleasant as possible.
We count with comfortable exam rooms equipped the latest dental technology such as intra-oral cameras, tissue laser, digital intra-oral scanners, and audio visual entertainment including a wide variety of movies for your choosing, ergonomic headphones and protective goggles.
